I've always had a fascination with jewellery, specifically pieces that looked old, and were embellished with fancy stones and beads. Anything quirky, colourful, playful, showing a touch of lavishness and an eye for detail. In short, pieces that I could never find in shops, or at least not to the standard of craftsmanship that I would have liked them to have.

The frustration of not finding anything that suited my demands led me to making my own pieces in 2oo1, with beads and wire at first, and since 2oo4 with PMC. I tried different styles and techniques in the past years, but in the end came back to what I loved most: the precious, colourful and antique (with the exception of commissions, where I also make more modern and somewhat streamlined looking pieces).

Every piece in the collection is hand-assembled, antiqued and polished. I could use rotary tools to help speed up the process, but there is something very reverential in it for me in doing it by hand. It gives me time to reflect on the pieces I am finishing, and it is very satisfying when I'm finally holding a finished piece of jewellery in my hand knowing the hard work that has gone into it was worth it.

Enjoy. =)
